I have a friend who's eye be disfigured after strabismus surgery. He want a new eye but not a chalice one. Medically only the cornia can be transplanted but why can't the undamaged eye?
Something about that pesky optic impudence being attached to the brain! Hard to clip it and reattachit and still expect it to work.
